Delicious and fruity mocktails you can make from home Posted On 24 November 2022

You do not need alcohol to produce a delicious beverage

When hosting your next dinner party for family and friends, why not make it a special occasion by crafting your very own mocktails.

While many head out each weekend to enjoy a plethora of fruity cocktails, expertly made by bartenders, there are plenty of alcohol-free alternatives which taste just as good.

Here are a couple of fantastic and fruity mocktail recipes for you to try at home.

Virgin pina colada

A pina colada is an incredibly popular cocktail and this alcohol-free alternative is equally as delicious.

Ingredients -

150ml pineapple juice

50ml coconut milk

25ml lime juice

Ice

100g dark brown muscovado sugar

1 pineapple

5 black peppercorns

5 cloves

1 cinnamon stick

1)    Start by making a mock rum syrup by putting the dark brown muscovado sugar and 200ml of water in a saucepan, before stirring well and heating until the sugar has dissolved. Add a few strips of skin from the pineapple and add the black peppercorns, cloves and a cinnamon stick, then bring to a boil. Turn off the heat and leave this to infuse. Strain into a jug and set aside.

2)    Pour the pineapple juice into a tall glass and add the coconut milk and lime juice, before stirring. Add ice to a glass and 25ml of the syrup. Now enjoy!

Watermelon lemonade

Watermelon and lemon flavours come together fantastically for this amazing mocktail.

Ingredients -

1 large watermelon

250ml lemon juice

100g golden caster sugar

1L bottle soda water

1 lime

Small handful of mint

Crushed ice

1)    Cut the top off the watermelon and hollow it out using a spoon, making sure you fish out any pips. Mash the flesh through a sieve into a bowl. Put the flesh in a blender with the lemon juice and sugar, before whizzing into a puree and stirring in the soda.

2)    Heap some ice into the hollow watermelon and fill it with the lemonade mixture. Serve the rest in a jug with the lime slices and mint.
